The Breaking Camp project was an exercise in topography building as well as a preliminary exercise for programmatic explorations. The program for this project was a dining hall for up to 16 people. Building systems were purposefully excluded from this project because an emphasis on passive heating and cooling design was enforced. Site conditions were thoroughly studied and implemented into the project. The conceptual motif for the building was derived from the craft of weaving, which was also explored through the duration of the project.
